Pattison isn't cheap -- they're just PriceSmart

As we saw at that Save-Way a while back, Save-On-Foods has a thing for reusing aisle markers at their converted stores. Here, they left the PriceSmart aisle markers completely intact, even leaving the then-current PriceSmart logo in place next to the numbers (that's how I was able to identify this as a former PriceSmart). I'm guessing all of the decor here is from the PriceSmart days, but that's not entirely guaranteed, considering what they did with their converted Safeways. Anyway, this area, next to the grand aisle, is home to the bulk foods section, including a large (but much less fancy than at the new store) bulk candy display.

Ha, that design on the aisle numbers on the aisle markers looks like something Albertsons might have done some years ago, but obviously that isn't an Albertsons design! The Tetris-like floor is a bit Albertsons-like as well, though I guess those Blue & Grey Market floors had a specific pattern to them unlike what we're seeing here which is quite random.

    1. Ha! It does kind of look like something from the PF&H era when they used the Albertsons logo in abstract ways.

The flooring is a lot more reminiscent of Publix, like you said yesterday, but it is definitely Tetris-y!
