Like a lot of urban malls, MyZeil has a large atrium running through it, but oddly the design includes a whole bunch of ceiling clouds that break up the views through the atrium. They do look pretty cool -- they're another example of the organic blob shape, and I love the edge lighting -- but I kind of miss having a view throughout the whole space. On the right side of the picture is an express escalator that runs all the way to the top floor of the mall, supported by a whole bunch of spindly columns installed at wacky angles -- a cool look, but one that must have been a pain for the structural engineers to implement!
