So of course I had to hop right on that express escalator. While there are much longer escalators elsewhere, most of the longest ones in the world are underground in metro stations. This 5-story escalator (from the ground floor to the European 4th floor) feels quite long, and it certainly isn't common to see such long free-standing escalators, even if this probably isn't anything spectacular in technical terms.
