There were sure a lot of giant fridges here on this visit, some of which (those Samsung ones on the right) look quite strange. My condo came with a fridge that's halfway to being a mini-fridge (it's the same model that multiple AirBNBs I've stayed in have had) and while I'd love to get something larger, I'm pretty sure most of the fridges here wouldn't even fit through my front door!
Those French door fridges are a lot bigger on the outside than they are in the inside! Give me a good top-freezer fridge, in white, and I'll be happy!
ReplyDeleteI stayed at two motor inns during my vacation which had full-sized fridges. One was a Marriott Residence Inn and the other was a Hawthorn Suites. The Hawthorn Suites was interesting in that it is a newly built motor inn where the building is co-branded by La Quinta. Most of the rooms at the motor inn were La Quinta, but they had some Hawthorn Suites rooms. The Hawthorn Suites had a full-sized dishwasher too!
While I suppose you can say both of those are extended stay hotels, the Hawthorn Suites had daily housekeeping. Both were quite nice and it was nice having a kitchen, but neither had real ovens, just big microwave ovens. But, anyway, I'm sure your condo is bigger than those motel rooms so I'm sure there is some way to get a fridge in there!
I've definitely stayed in hotels/AirBNBs with larger fridges and dishwashers than I have! Then again, I've also stayed in hotels/AirBNBs that were larger than my condo! Thankfully, I don't live in a micro-apartment like I did when I started this blog, but my current place is quite small for a one-bedroom. The kitchen has plenty of space for full-sized appliances, but that would require redoing all of the cabinets (including the ones blocking the way for a full-sized fridge to get into the kitchen -- I can tell the people who last renovated my kitchen didn't think of that, since the space for the fridge is a lot larger than any fridge you could actually get through the entryway!).
