There's nothing much to say about the front end -- it's pretty much standard for stores from this era, with lots of windows along the front wall (sadly all covered up on this visit -- I bet this store's HVAC wasn't keeping up with the August sun coming in all of those windows) and deli displays spilling into space that was probably once taken up by a lot more checkouts. The generic "cold beverages" endcap is a bit strange, especially since it's right next to a typical endcap case! I like how Modern's case trim helps cover up a lot of inconsistencies between cases in older stores -- it's too bad Safeway didn't feel like making a larger trim panel to cover up the top of this case (and the egg one we saw previously too).
