Apparently Sears still had some luggage at this point, though not a particularly large selection, and all of it in this picture is rather ugly. My parents have a maroon suitcase like the ones in the background that they got at least 20 years ago -- that color should have stayed in the past! Those metallic hard-side suitcases seem like they would look super beat up after just one trip through the baggage system -- that tendency to get massively scuffed up is one of the (many) reasons I prefer soft-sided luggage.
