Mattresses

What's even more boring than beige furniture? Mattresses! I suppose they're still a little bit less boring than clothing, but it's still too bad that this turned out to be the last department of the tour. I'm not even remotely picky about mattresses, and I'm still using the one I bought at Ikea when I got my first apartment, which I didn't even really test out before buying it (I'm sure Ikea had some sort of bed setup for testing their mattresses, but all I really cared about was whether we would be able to fit it in the car!). Mattress companies don't even try to make their products look interesting anymore (which makes sense since they're always going to be covered in sheets anyway, but it still makes for a rather boring-looking department).
