3 types of wine, 1 type of meat

The combined meat-and-alcohol department is still going strong at this store! Or at least it was as of this visit -- they've since done a reset to add a walled-off area for high-theft items, and that generally includes liquor (but I haven't been back here recently to check). I'm glad the new aisle markers don't get in the way as much as the old ones did!

I don't know, I think I like the position of the old aisle marker better! This one looks like it is just a few inches from the wall (it is probably further out than that, but the angle makes it look that way) and should just be put on the wall. Of course, an aisle marker on the wall would be strange, I'm not sure if I've ever seen such a thing!

    1. Hmm, wall-mounted aisle markers would be an interesting option for smaller stores like this one, but I don't think anyone has ever tried that. (Except for Haggen, but that's not really the same thing.) That being said, the aisle marker placement, perpendicular to and set into the actionways, is one of the things I really like about Modern and the rest of Safeway's post-Lifestyle v2.1 packages!
