Next to that is an outdoor sporting goods section, partially filled with more gym equipment. On one hand, this section looks pretty pathetic and bare; on the other hand, I imagine any department store other than Sears wouldn't be trying to sell you kayaks in December! Now I wonder what their holiday seasonal area looked like during the summer, since apparently summer seasonal had its own year-round area. Sears definitely had a thing for selling stuff well out of season in the 2010s, which already wasn't a great look for the company; these days, they've solved that problem by just no longer selling seasonal products. 🤦‍♂️
