Haggen didn't inherit very many gas stations with their divested Albertsons/Safeway stores, since most of the stores that they got weren't the prime locations that would have merited a gas station (and most of the stores they got were Albertsons stores anyway, and Albertsons had already sold off their gas stations a few years before the Safeway merger). This is one of the few they got, and it ended up being branded as a 76 station during the Haggen years. I assumed that meant they had sold it off, but I guess not, since once Albertsons absorbed Haggen, they quickly rebranded the gas station back to Safeway. A Safeway gas station out front of a Haggen is an odd sight, but not as weird as a QFC gas station out front of a Grocery Outlet!
