Stepping inside

As with most new-build stores I post on here, I'm sure most of you aren't going to like this one all that much, but I thought it actually seemed pretty nice, at least in person. While the unpainted open ceiling and the polished concrete floors certainly don't give it the upscale look that Safeway's Lifestyle-era builds had, the Modern decor looks quite nice here and there really isn't anything specifically bad about this store. Even the unpainted nature of the ceiling doesn't look as bad as it does in many stores, which I think is mostly thanks to the large number of skylights throughout the store and the white roof decking (compare that to Retail Retell's photos of the Oxford Kroger, with no skylights and unpainted metal roof decking... and a much worse decor package too; it's a night-and-day difference).

Those "fresh from the farm" signs had me do a double take -- everyone knows the Safeway phrase is "fresh from the fields"!

  1. Thanks for the link, and yep -- the white roof decking really does make a huge difference!
