So I just finished writing about how I had nothing bad to say about this store, and now I'm going to immediately go against that! Seriously, the Starbucks corner just looks weird, with that soffit that's not the same height as anything else (and which has the same ceiling height on both sides) and the extra-spindly version of the Starbucks kiosk. It almost seems like Safeway wanted to build a fancy cafe over here, then just gave up and dropped in a standard Starbucks kiosk that would normally be a stand-alone fixture sitting in the middle of the store. Even the fancy lighting can't redeem it -- this is the one place where this store really falls flat.
Talk about unfinished!
