Sideways mini-aisles

Like many Albertsons stores, the health and beauty section includes a few small sideways aisles by the pharmacy -- three and a half of them in this case, though they share two aisle markers. Normally, the pharmacy counter would be facing this direction, but in this store it instead faces the actionway with the aisles around the corner, kind of like the meat department we saw earlier. And yes, the ceiling looks pretty terrible up here too!

That doesn't look like butter to me!

I was hoping those aisle markers would have the infamous Albertsons 'analgesics' on it, but I suppose that is not the case here. I guess we'll have to find that over at AFB!

It is a bit strange how seemingly normal granola type bars are hanging out in the pharmacy, but I guess it is visible enough from the actionway that regular grocery shoppers will see it.

    1. Ha! It took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about, since the logo doesn't even look like the word "butter" at first glance!

I thought about saying something about the granola bars, but I feel like there was a time when it was common (or at least somewhat common) for nutrition bars and that sort of "health food" stuff to be in the health and beauty department. It certainly isn't particularly common any longer, though, and I feel like most of the stuff here isn't even all that healthy!

    2. Yes, I remember when Publix used to stock specialty granola bars (like the South Beach Diet bars or Cliff bars) by the H&BA items. It seems like some stores may still do this today.
