fres flowers

The decor here is holding up better than some PF&H stores I've seen, but it certainly isn't perfect! Despite the missing h, I quite like this sign for how they used the descending parts of the two fs to divide the three sub-header items -- much better than what happened in this package's distant relative, Lifestyle v3.

Ha, well, I was at a Remix'ed Greenhouse Kroger today where one of the decor letters had fallen off in one of the departments. I reckon this Albertsons has more of an excuse for having falling lettering than a Remix Kroger! I can confirm that there was double-sided tape on the wall where the letter should have been so I guess that is all that is holding up those letters at Kroger at least!

Fortunately, I didn't do all my shopping at a cruddy Kroger today, I actually spent more time at the Lifestyle v2 Randalbertsons which I had a blog post about this summer. It is always nice to see a good implementation of Lifestyle v2 especially since that decor package has become quite rare around here! Also, I quite liked their Halloween display. I wonder if any of the Safeways in your area do things like this still. This isn't my photo, but I can confirm that this display is still up: https://maps.app.goo.gl/16gD9ooZwaiqSmZk9

Another thing Randall's has been doing lately is putting up giant signs hanging from the ceiling throughout the store of advertised specials on certain products. These giant signs, are changed regularly so it must take a lot of work. I don't have a good picture of it to share, but I also wonder if Safeway is doing that in your area. It certainly seems like a Southern Division thing since the signs here say 'Fall Y'all' at the current time and I can't imagine the Seattle Division going for something like that, lol.

I did find a photo online of the Randall's 'Happy Fall Y'all!' signs hanging all around the store. This one that is in focus is obviously one of Safeway's infamous 'Buy 2, Get 1 Free' sale ads, which are usually not a good deal, but some of the other ones are of legitimate good deals. 2. Ha, I guess Remix is just as bad as the original Bountiful in terms of lettering falling off the wall! I guess I shouldn't be surprised that such a cheap decor "package" isn't super durable.

I haven't seen holiday displays like that at Safeways around here, at least not in many years. I remember the Port Angeles store used to have a proper seasonal section like that and I think they had at least some displays, but that went away back in the early 2010s and since then seasonal stuff has just been stuck in random bits of aisles or temporary shelves up front. The only time any sort of big display shows up is when one of the soda or chip companies decides to set one up.

There have been times in the past where Safeway hung large signs like that for weekly specials, but they haven't done anything like that recently. The last time I can remember them doing something similar (at least as a widespread thing) was back in 2017 when I was just starting out with retail photography, and even then most of those signs were promoting everyday pricing so they weren't swapped out on a regular basis like your area is doing -- that does seem like a lot of work!
