Sav-on Pharmacy

This store has seemed pretty dead in these photos so far (I guess the high-schoolers were just hanging out in the parking lot, not the store itself), but the pharmacy seems to have been popular at least! The Sav-on co-branding for the pharmacy apparently actually meant something in California, where Sav-on had their own stores up until Supervalu bought out (most of) Albertsons, unlike in the northwest where it was just confusing since we never had Sav-on stores. Albertsons has largely abandoned this co-branding since the Safeway merger, even in places where the Sav-on and Osco names did once mean something; I believe Jewel-Osco (where the trend originated decades before Albertsons had any involvement) is the only remaining example.
