The liquor department, right behind the produce section, has some rather interesting design choices going on. The wine section features a pair of OSB endcap toppers (clashing with the much classier shelving below, a leftover from Fresh Fare 2.0), and the category markers are even printed with a faux OSB pattern. My strong opinion is that OSB is the ugliest construction material out there, so I really hate this style -- I could maybe get over using it as a material for the endcap toppers, but I can't stand how they actually printed it as a "decorative" pattern on the plastic category markers!
I wonder if they were going more for a cork look than OSB. Seems to fit the wine theme better, anyway.
ReplyDeleteHmm, maybe. I don't much like it either way!
