The lighting in this store doesn't look very Lifestyle-like these days, but that's because it was replaced at some point in the past few years -- this surprisingly similar comparison shot shows that the produce department originally had a silver version of the X-lights that were a staple of Lifestyle produce departments, again with a rather industrial look to them versus the rusticness of Lifestyle's rough-wood version. (Also, it appears that Safeway was so committed to having dim Lifestyle stores that they used to close the blinds to block the light from the massive window walls!) The Golden Gate Bridge model on the side is neat, but not actually unique to this store -- I saw it in several other San Francisco Safeways.
