Welcome to the Marina Safeway!

Yes, the Marina Safeway, the one that started it all! Obviously, I couldn't visit San Francisco without making the pilgrimage to one of the most important sites in Safeway history. OK, maybe I'm overselling things a little bit, but if half the reason I visited San Francisco was the store I've been posting over the past few days, the other half of the reason was this store! Anyway, I don't think this store needs much history explanation, but it was built in 1959, has been expanded a few times over the years, and was most recently remodeled in 2022 -- so it now also has a decor that hasn't yet been seen on this blog!
