Front end, from the other end

Having made a weird triple-loop around the salesfloor, we're now back to the front end (which, again, is on the back wall). The checkouts themselves are a little different from the typical Lifestyle design, with flat grey laminate above a woodgrain base, but the register lights (which may or may not be original) are completely standard Lifestyle fare. I wonder why this small section of the salesfloor has a drop ceiling -- it doesn't seem to make sense as an aesthetic choice, but perhaps there's some sort of mechanical equipment hiding up there.
