Abandoned... something

Westlake Station is full of random abandoned (or at least, not used as originally designed) spaces like this, which gives the busiest station in the region a strange ghost town feel. This space looks like it was originally a ticket counter or customer service desk, but the actual customer service desk (also abandoned) is on the other side of the store, and I don't believe any of these stations ever had ticket counters of any sort -- originally, the tunnel was used for Kiong County Metro buses only (so you would pay on the bus), and when train service was introduced in the 00s, Sound Transit went with ticket vending machines again, like basically any other modern urban train service. I've heard some references to there being an old transit supervisors' office somewhere in this station, so that's my best guess to its original purpose.
