Heading back up front, here's a view looking from the produce department back along aisle 2 (sigh). The exposed metal of the dairy box is quite prominent in this corner, and combining that with the exposed metal-beam ceiling of the main grocery salesfloor, it's quite clear that this store is from the era when Fred Meyer saw itself as a typical discounter rather than the higher-end hypermarket they evolved into in the late 80s/early 90s. Oh, and speaking of aisle 2, it's interesting to see Fred Meyer use number-only markers as a low-clearance version (though I admit it would have looked awkward for them to bring in a proper low-clearance Marketplace aisle marker for one aisle only).
