Murray's pod

This store's Murray's island seems randomly placed in the middle of the grand aisle, but I suppose that's not too surprising since this store's layout is all kinds of weird. What's really weird, though, is the whole ceiling structure above the counter -- normally, these just have a hanging box sign, with the island space being otherwise open to the main store's ceiling. Normally, these random drop ceilings seem to be related to mechanical equipment in spaces used for food preparation, but I'm not seeing anything here that seems out of the ordinary compared to other Murray's islands that don't have a drop ceiling.

  1. Hmm, interesting. Yeah, it doesn't look as good like this.

    1. Definitely. They probably could have made it look better by extending the decor further up the hanging walls, but they seem to have just stuck the normal signage on here instead.
