Floral vestibule

Even more interesting than the outside appearance of this store's vestibule is its interior function -- its home to the (extra large) floral department! A lot of stores put their floral department near the entryway, but I'm not aware of any others where you have to walk through the floral department to get to the main salesfloor. Also, I'm sure many of you can already tell this store's odd secret...

  1. Wow, that is a big vestibule! The Kosher Randall's in Houston does have some floral stuff in the vestibule, but most of the floral department is about where you'd expect it to be just past the vestibule. Of course, Randall's stores built by Randall's before the Safeway merger, like the Kosher Randall's, did have grand vestibules so I guess it's not a surprise that it would be rather nice. But, yeah, it's pretty remarkable that Fred Meyer could fit all of that in the vestibule.

    1. Yep, it's certainly an unusual layout! Perhaps it's a little weird to call it a vestibule, but I don't know what else to call it.

    1. Thanks! I just had to swing by here, since apparently the theme of my vacation this summer was weird Fred Meyers! 🙂
