I suspect this angle is about as close as you can get to seeing what this store would have looked like in the JCPenney days. It's a bit surprising that Whole Foods didn't want to make larger changes to the exterior (apart from what they did to the ground floor where their store actually was), since it's certainly a rather outdated (and also boring) look.
