While Safeway has obviously made some changes to the facade here, this store still has a significant Fred Meyer vibe to it, what with the big square windows on the left and the glass canopy over the old main entrance. It's hard to point out specific features on a Fred Meyer, since they didn't build the same store over and over again (so they were more like Safeway than Walmart), but I've been to enough 90s-era Fred Meyers to say that this one does have more design similarities to them than to Safeway. I suspect the curved canopies are Safeway additions (at least the ones above the Safeway entrances -- the one above the Fred Meyer entrance might be original), and the ugly metal siding on the arches is definitely a Safeway thing, often used in their poor attempts at upgrading store exteriors during the Lifestyle v2 era.
