Turning back towards the entrance, the produce section looks extremely long and stretched out. It seems like it would make more sense for this section to be where the checkouts are instead of having them where you have to pass the exit to get to them from the grocery section, but who knows. The layout here also makes it so that you can't get to the grocery aisles from the front actionway -- instead, you have to loop around the end of the long produce case and walk down a fairly narrow aisle behind it to get to them. I really want to know what the original designers were thinking with this store...

ReplyDeleteIt really does! There has to be some sort of optical illusion going on, since it doesn't look nearly as giant from the other angle, but it's still interesting to see.
