The health and beauty department is where things start getting really weird, decor-wise. The upper wall decor is fairly normal, but as you start looking lower down, that stops. The trim along the top of the cases isn't too surprising, I suppose -- it's just a remnant from the original Greenwood prototype decor this store had, though it's still strange to see these leftovers as Fred Meyer is typically pretty thorough with remodels. But right above that, I originally thought the "Diabetes Care" sign was also a leftover, but no, it's not, and it doesn't match any decor I know. It certainly doesn't fit in with Marketplace -- the font is all wrong -- and while Urban Mix and Artisan would be reasonable guesses, it doesn't seem to fit with anything I've seen in Urban Mix QFCs or in the few pictures I've come across of Artisan stores. If anything, it kind of looks like something from 2012, but that makes no sense! I'm hoping this will ring a bell with one of you guys (and you'll be able to point out that I'm missing something obvious), but for now I'm stumped!
Good catch... I'd have to suggest it comes from Marketplace décor, simply because that's the easiest explanation... the little wispy things appear similar to the ones on the wall, and the font looks like a close match to the one used for drop off and pick up over at the pharmacy counter.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that is the obvious choice, but it still doesn't quite seem to fit to me... in particular, the wispy things look like grass or wheat silhouettes, rather than the curvy lines of the pharmacy decor. But who knows!
