For one last picture from this mini-set, here's a look at the very nice red and white lighting that Macy's long installed along the awning, as well as the red bow-pattern covering over the windows in the background. That space had been a long-time empty hole -- in the land-use documents related to the upper floors, one of the conditions on the redevelopment was Macy's promising to the city to find a tenant for the space, so clearly this had been a sore spot for some people -- but for a few years between then and the store's closing, it had been home to a beauty salon and school. I don't have any pictures of that because, well, it didn't last very long and closed down itself a while before the store's announced closing.
Anyways, that's it for this store for the time being -- tomorrow, back to Target for a post-remodel look!
