The cosmetics department, clearly considered Rite Aid's premier offering at the time, is prominently placed in the front right corner of the store, just inside the entrance. In addition to the large banner sign, this department is set off by the pink accents on the shelving, in contrast to the powder blue ones used elsewhere in the store. (It's hard to imagine a more 90s color scheme than that!)
