A dreary store on a dreary day

It might just be these pictures, but this store has an exceptionally lifeless look to it. I mean, duh, it's closed and sitting empty... but at the same time, it's not like it looked that much better when it was in operation! Architecturally, this store really has the oppressive 80s architecture down, and the heavy-handed grey paint scheme doesn't help matters. Also notable is the weird decoration above the main entrance, which looks purpose-built to hold a sign, but which went unused (at least in the years before the closing -- maybe it was used at one point, but if so, no traces remained).
