Skipping over to the other side of the highway, we find the last of the three Kroger-owned stores in south Gig Harbor that I'll be featuring. This store was built right around 1990 (the shopping center was built in several phases so the property records are hard to understand, but Historic Aerials seems to show it under construction in their 1990 image), though I kind of doubt it was always a Fred Meyer. I suspect that it was once a Stock Market Foods, since it looks a good bit similar to some of their other stores that became Fred Meyer Marketplaces, but I can't find anything to actually confirm that.
