Even some of the smaller departments, including the pet section, got illuminated department signs. That's good, since otherwise there would be even more blank wall space! On a side note, since they're filling a good portion of this picture, now seems to be a good time to mention how absolutely hideous Walmart Canada's price signs are! American Walmarts have long used various blue or black color schemes that blend in with everything else, but the Canadian version has an incredibly in-your-face red and yellow color scheme that clashes with the rest of the store. What were they thinking??
They switched to the black price signs with blue toppers with the logo change last year.
ReplyDeleteThe red price signs in the Canadian Walmarts have always stood out to me - I never understood why they used those and not the same signs as the US Walmarts, as they never really matched anything else. They did stand out though, so there was that advantage!
