The area at the start of the deli looks to be catering to people coming here for lunch, with drinks, snacks, and sandwiches all put together. That seems a little odd for this store, set in a residential area without any significant offices nearby, but I suppose this isn't really any different from what a typical Safeway would have, it's just arranged differently.
