And to wrap this up, here's the vintage road sign. I've always thought the current Safeway logo looks pretty good in spots designed for the vintage circle-S logo, certainly better than the previous logo at least! By the way, the cool rounded building in the background is South San Francisco's new library and community center, which was still under construction when I was here -- I'm a bit jealous!
