The strangest part about this corridor is the set of light fixtures in the wide spot in the middle, which actually look older than everything else in this mall. I have a love-hate relationship with mid-century exposed bulb fixtures like this -- they look cool in pictures or from a distance, but when I had an apartment with this style of fixture, I found the light to be extremely harsh since there's no diffuser, and had to swap the bulbs that the place came with out for dimmer ones. Notice the stepped detailing at the top of the poles, which matches the hanging fixtures.
