Steak and toothpaste

That meat alcove makes aisle 1 have a seriously weird set of items -- meat on one side, health products on the other! (Well, maybe that's not that weird by classic Albertsons standards, but it's  one that I haven't seen before.) This store has the older Blue & Grey Market layout, with the pharmacy in the middle of the left wall and liquor in the front left corner, which normally went along with that weird mixed-aisle-direction setup; however, I would be surprised if this store actually had sideways aisles, since it doesn't seem large enough. If it did, either it had very few "regular" aisles, or the sideways ones were very short.

It is interesting to see a Blue & Grey Market Randalbertsons where the Safeway changeover was done on the cheap versus one where Safeway put a lot of money into it! We have one of the latter in Houston, in Katy specifically. This was a Lifestyle-era conversion, so Safeway put a lot of money into it. I suppose it was money well spent as this store is still operating with Colorful Lifestyle v2 even after so many other Houston Randall's have close. Anyway, as you can see here, Safeway even managed to put in a semi-Safeway-like power alley into this Blue & Grey Market store. It probably looks more Safeway-like than Albertsons, but it isn't entirely Safeway-like.
