Low-quality meat

Interestingly, the deli cases look like they may have been replaced at some point, compared to the absolutely ancient style of the ones in the meat department. Or maybe Safeway just decided to go with something a bit nicer for the deli. Anyway, most of the back of the store is taken up by the meat department, which is quite large for a store that doesn't have a service department. Oddly, the drywall along the back wall seems to be degrading, even though this isn't an exterior wall where moisture issues would be more likely.
