Bizarrely, this department used to have a "beverages" department sign, but it was removed at some point with absolutely no effort put into repairing the damage. I'm not sure why they would have done that, considering it would still be accurate; perhaps some letters decided to fall down on their own (like we saw in the produce department) and someone decided to "fix" it by removing the rest of them. The sign seems like it would have looked strange regardless, with a gap in the middle where that column is.
And speaking of looking strange, the depth effect in the fake crown molding wallpaper does not work from this angle. It looks fine when viewed straight on or from the right, but from the left it just looks wrong. And I seriously have to wonder if the strange mini surveillance cameras we've seen in a few spots around the store are fake too! They don't look anything like any real cameras I've seen in a store (which are pretty much always the dome type, even when wall mounted).
