The small frozen department lines the back of the checkouts, alongside the small selection of cookware and general merchandise items and the entrance gate (for people bypassing the produce section -- I'm actually surprised it's set up this way, since I've been in other Esselunga stores that had one-way gates pointing the other way to force people to walk through produce before getting to the rest of the salesfloor).
Some day I need to stay somewhere in Italy that has a kitchen, because I've always been curious by what their frozen pizzas (and other grocery-store premade meals) are like. After all, Italians are serious about pizza! I'm sure it's nowhere near what you can get at a restaurant, but it has to be better than the American version, I'd think.
