Even just adding more skylights, like they did at the spot where new and old meet, would have made a big difference! I really like this view, with the contrast between the glass and the dark wood. It would look even better if I had visited on a sunny day (but my 2022 pictures were all ruined by my camera at the time choking on that brightness difference).
