As I've mentioned before, it's very common for transit centers, train stations, and sometimes even airports in Europe to have grocery stores built in, something you just don't see in the US. I've been meaning to cover one of those for a while since they're an obvious combination of my interests, but hadn't gotten around to it since a lot of European grocery stores aren't all that interesting to look at, especially the small-format ones you tend to find in these unconventional locations. But as you know from my 2025 travel blogs, Esselunga bucks that trend and has some really cool stores, so I was quite excited to run across this one!
