Sears had some appropriate seasonal signs up at this point... plus a random "big weekend sale" sign on the back wall that had been there for who knows how long. Or maybe this was the "big weekend" and they just didn't have anything else set up to promote it, who knows. 2022 was well past the time that Sears had any significant advertising outside of their stores (heck, even non-dying department stores hardly ever seem to advertise these days), so the only way to know what sales Sears was running would be to go to the store (or maybe look at the website, but by this point Sears had mostly turned their website into a "marketplace" setup filled with third-party sellers).
