At the lookout

Turning the other way, we get a nice view of fall color out the big windows at the end of the corridor. I always look forward to fall every year, craving an end to the heat and sun of summer. Yep, I'm a Seattleite alright! The main corridor of this mall is built on the path of an old rail spur from when this was still an industrial area, and the alignment is still visible as a gap in buildings pretty much all the way through to the mainline to the northeast. (Going the other way, I believe this used to connect up to the rail tunnel under downtown, which was later converted to a double-level tunnel for the SkyTrain.)
