After dark

As cool as this mall is during the day, to really appreciate the neon, you have to come back here at night. And that's another reason I wasn't satisfied with my 2022 pictures -- I visited Vancouver in late June that year, and this far north, it's barely dark by the time the mall closes at 10 in June or July. (Sunset in Vancouver in late June is nearly 9:30 at night!) I was wondering how I managed to get a good picture from inside the SkyTrain after dark, but I think this picture is actually from the sidewalk of the adjacent road viaduct, with both SkyTrain tracks in the foreground. The building on the right is the Firenze condo tower, also part of International Village and where I stayed on both of my Vancouver trips (in two different Airbnbs, on the 25th floor in 2022 and on a higher floor that I can't remember in 2024).
