I suspect the reason I like this store so much is that I always have a soft spot for vaguely Romanesque architecture. The curved canopy with its double columns fits right in with that! I wonder if the two windows above the door ever opened to anything or if they were always purely decorative -- they certainly seem to be covered over now.
