This store opened on December 5th, 2024, to massive crowds as the first US location of the BC-based Asian grocery chain (and also the first US location in many years for their parent company Loblaw). back when it was Walmart; Walmart didn't last all that long after that visit, but after sitting for a few years, the old Mervyn's finally has a tenant, and one that's much more interesting -- and much more popular -- than Walmart ever was.
