Target&T

Last time I visited Factoria, back in fall 2018, the mall wasn't doing great, and it wasn't long after that first Safeway and then Walmart closed down, which made me a bit worried. But the place really seems to have bounced back since then, something you don't see all that often with malls these days. For the first time in years (maybe even the first time ever, since the very first Street View capture of this sign, in 2015, has a blank space), the road sign at the main entrance has all of its slots filled up -- sure, there are some smaller tenants listed, but it's still nice to see. I have a few pictures of the mall itself coming up at the end of this set, and it's safe to say it feels a lot more vibrant than it did in the past.

This store and parking lot look familiar. Was this the store I linked to when we were discussing the stereotype of Asian families driving minivans, usually Toyota and Honda ones? Maybe I didn't link to it and I just looked up a random Asian supermarket in the Seattle area and this is what came up. I don't know, I think we discussed this in that Albertsons post you did before you went on vacation.

There may not be as many Subarus as you'd expect for the Seattle area, but there are certainly many Tesla 'SUVs' here. Three of them are lined up to exit out it seems. Even stranger, it seems a panda is driving the red one. What's up with that?!

    1. Hmm, it doesn't look like you linked to any specific store when we were talking about that. It's possible you looked up this store, but it wouldn't have been very helpful because it wasn't open when Street View last drove by!

Wealthier, techier people around Seattle are turning this into a Tesla town (or at least they were before the Elon backlash started), and I'm sure a lot of the "new money" parts of the region have more Teslas than Subarus these days. Bellevue is a very techie/new money area, and that's the demographic that T&T is trying to attract, so I'm not surprised to see all of these Teslas here!

No clue what's up with the panda car! I hadn't even noticed that until you pointed it out.
