All Things San Francisco

The bakery takes up a strange little corridor that links the salesfloor to the front end. The checkouts are off in their own little room of sorts, which is quite strange -- it's weird walking along all four sides of a grocery store and not seeing checkout counters! That also means that employees in the front end really can't see what's going on in the rest of the store, which is also strange. The checkouts are in the two-story part of the building with offices above, and I have to wonder if the ground floor of this area was also offices originally, with it being converted into an extension of the salesfloor on the cheap at some point. Still, I'm surprised they wouldn't have tried to make things a bit more open.
