On the way out, I swung by the south end of the property to get a picture of the view I associate with this store. For some reason, they decided to build the shopping center so when you're approaching from Bothell, you can't actually see any of the stores -- all you see is this giant retaining wall holding up the parking lot and the gas station. Normally stores want to build in locations where they will be highly visible, but this Safeway is the opposite! I really don't understand why they wanted to move all the way out here from their old location that was much closer to where people actually live, much more visible, and just generally much less isolated.
Anyway, that's it for this set, so we'll see what happens tomorrow!
