The sad "bakery"

Compared to some other Safeways without service bakeries that I've been to, the bakery at the old store wasn't that bad, occupying an entire aisle with its own dedicated refrigerated case for cakes and such. But that's quite a low bar, and this was still a pretty sad setup for what was otherwise a fairly nice store. The new store significantly improves on the quantity of bakery products available, but sadly their quality dropped significantly during the time this store was closed, and I imagine the new store's bakery isn't doing all that great in a neighborhood with a lot of better options and not a lot of price-sensitive shoppers (not that Safeway's bakery products are even all that much cheaper these days than what you can get from a real bakery).
